Why would Medicare Supplement plans be popular?
1. Seniors who travel usually have the additional income to afford a Medicare Supplement Plan because there is no network. And they like the ability to see any doctor who will accept Original Medicare.
2. Medicare Supplement Plans do not operate like an HMO. You do not have to pick a primary care physician "PCP" to coordinate your specialists.
3. No referral needed to see a specialist.
4. NOTE: Seniors on Medicare Supplement Plans will need to pay separately for their Prescription Drug Part "D" Rx plan.
